CAD modeling and design-for-manufacturability review for CNC machining, wire EDM, sheet metal, 3D printing, and automation tooling. Built for machine shops and individual makers who need a file that quotes clean the first time — not a rendering that bounces back.

PROCESSES

Every quote gets checked against the process it's built for.

A file that's clean for 3D printing can be unmachinable in CNC and unquotable in wire EDM. We review against the process you actually plan to run, not a generic checklist.

CNC Machining

  • Tool access checked on internal pockets & deep holes
  • Sharp internal corners flagged, fillets suggested
  • Thread depth & hole aspect ratio validated
  • Stock orientation set to minimize setups

Wire EDM

  • Kerf allowance built into path geometry
  • Start-hole locations planned for closed profiles
  • Minimum corner radius set for wire diameter
  • Taper & stock-thickness limits checked

Sheet Metal

  • Bend deductions calculated per material & gauge
  • Minimum flange & hole-to-bend distances enforced
  • Flat pattern delivered laser/brake-ready
  • Grain direction called out where it matters

3D Printing

  • Wall thickness checked against process minimums
  • Overhangs & supports planned into orientation
  • Tolerances set for FDM, SLA, or SLS as specified
  • Escape holes added for trapped resin/powder

Automation Tooling

  • Locating & clamping points set to part datums
  • Repeatability checked across the full run
  • Clearance verified for robot/operator access
  • Wear points designed for easy replacement

Tubing & Weldments

  • Modeled with real structural-member profiles, not solid extrudes
  • Auto-generated cut list with accurate cut lengths & miter angles
  • Corner treatments (trim/extend, miter, gusset) matched to how it's actually fabricated
  • Weld symbols called out per joint on the drawing, sized to the fabricator's process

Not sure which process fits?

Send what you have — a photo, a napkin sketch, a worn-out original part — and we'll tell you the right process before you pay for anything.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, no back-and-forth over email threads.

1

Submit the part

Use the calculator for an instant estimate, then attach a file, photo, or description. No file yet is fine — we'll ask what we need.

2

Confirm price & date

We review against the process you named and reply with a firm price and delivery date — usually within a couple of hours.

3

Get manufacturing-ready files

STEP and native CAD, a dimensioned drawing, and DXF/STL exports as needed — checked against your process before delivery.
